EFEsalud wins the Prize for Information and Communication on Health Issues from the Academy of Medicine

EFEsalud, the digital website of the state-owned news agency AGENCIA EFE specialized on health and wellbeing issues, has won the prize 'José García Sicilia' for Information and Communication on Health Issues, and which is awarded by the Spanish Royal Academy of Medicine (RANM), for the work which it carried out in labor 2015.
The RANM awarded yesterday’s evening its annual prizes for 2015, at a ceremony which took place at its Madrid’s premises, with occasion of the inauguration of the school year 2016 chaired by its President, Mr. Joaquín Poch.
The inaugural speech for the new school year was given by Doctor Miguel Lucas Tomás, who focused his words on the issue 'Oropharynx: Sex, Human Papillomavirus, cancer'.
The Academy of Medicine awarded eleven more prizes. The Academy’s prize was awarded to Dr. Tomás Ortiz Alonso, while the “Obieta” prize for a Professional Career went to Dr. Alberto Galindo Izquierdo.
A further nine prizes were awarded to as many doctors for their research works and PhDs.
