Mr. Bartolomé Lora replaces Mr. Federico Ferrer as SEPI’s Vice President

Bartolomé Lora Toro, SEPI’s Vice President.

Ms. Pilar Platero, Chairwoman of the Spanish state-owned industrial holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI), submitted this Friday to the Board of Directors the appointment of Mr. Bartolomé Lora Toro as Vice President, thus replacing Mr. Federico Ferrer in this position. Previously, Mr. Lora was appointed a Member of SEPI’s Board of Directors, at the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration.

The new Vice President is a graduate in Economics Sciences and Business Administration by CUNEF, and is specialized on Finances and holds an Executive MBA by Instituto de Empresa. He started his professional career in Bankinter, and after holding different positions in the financial field in Enfersa and Ferrovial, he began to work in INI in 1990 as a technician. He was appointed Deputy Director in 1997, Director in charge of Planning in 2000, and Head of Investee Companies in 2002, thus becoming a Member of SEPI’s Executive Committee. He has a long track record on privatization procedures, industrial reorganizations, and management of companies within the industries on which SEPI has operated. Currently he is a Member of the Board in NAVANTIA and ALESTIS, and he was a Member of the Boards in ITP and TRAGSA. Mr. Lora replaces Mr. Federico Ferrer as SEPI’s Vice President, who on September 1st took over the position of Economics and Business attaché in Spain’s Embassy in Havana.
