A Galopar.
- Adding up two new bets, one simple and another complex, will constitute the landmark of the plan being implemented
- The bet through the mobile within the facilities and the “moneybag account” will culminate into the last stage of the project for the renewal of the betting technological system
HIPODROMO DE LA ZARZUELA lowers the withholdings of a large number of its bets from this Sunday June 19th, when will be contested the Gran Premio Claudio Carudel. Thus, the funds generated for the prize money to be distributed among winners will grow. From next June 19th, all aficionados who make a bet at the Hipódromo de La Zarzuela will benefit from a reduction in the withholding in the bets for Winner, Placed, Twin, and Double.
Until now, the withholdings applied to all the bets made at the facilities amounted to 30%, so that the money which was distributed among the winning tickets amounted to 70% of that betted in each ticket. From next Sunday, the bets for Winner and for Placed will reduce the amount withheld to 20%, while those of the Twin and Double bets will be reduced to 25%; thus, the payout will grow in all these types of bets.
HZ has been working since 2013 in a comprehensive renewal of its betting technological system, which is required, among other things, for implementing this change in the withholdings, in line with the standard practice at other international horse racetracks, in which the bets which present less risk benefit from lower withholdings.
A first sample of the total renewal of the betting technological system
This reduction in the withholdings is the result of the second stage of the plan for renewing HZ’s betting technological system, which has been benefited from a significant investment, and whose first stage concluded on June 1st, with the launch into operation of the new central systems, the pari-mutuel server, the communication lines, and the trials for checking up the working of the new terminals which will be used when making the bets, which along the following weeks will replace those which began to work in October 2005. Furthermore, the installment of these new terminals at all the ticket offices will make possible to implement the last two stages in the plan:
- The third, which will consist in the addition of two new bets, a simple bet with a low withholding, and a complex one. Both will join the offer for internal bets at HZ as soon as the corresponding body in charge in the regional Government of Madrid validates the request which has already been filed for its homologation and commercialization.
- And the fourth and last stage, in which will be implemented the betting through the mobile phone within HZ’s facilities and the use of a user’s account or “moneybag account” by punters. These last two new features are now being analyzed in operating terms by the corresponding public agencies, and in terms of reprogramming by the technological supplier in accordance to the instructions from these agencies.
In this way, HIPÓDROMO DE LA ZARZUELA takes a new step in the direction of renewing its offer for visitors, in this case by bringing betting closer to all aficionados and to those who have recently developed an interest on the world of horses, and making it easier for those who already make bets.
