NAVANTIA reinforces its options in Australia with its new office in Canberra

  • It consolidates its opportunities in such bids as the AOR and improves its expectations in the medium-and long-term in new programs, such as those for frigates and patrol boats

NAVANTIA Australia Pty. Ltd has celebrated today the opening of its corporate offices in the Australian capital, Canberra. In this way it reinforces its position in that country, which is its main foreign customer, and consolidates its short-term options, among which are the bid for the two logistical vessels, while at the same time improves its medium and long-term opportunities with the future frigates and patrol boats programs.

The opening of these offices constitutes a significant landmark for NAVANTIA Australia, which four years after its incorporation, has consolidated itself into that market. The event was attended by the Spanish Ambassador to Australia, Mr. Manuel Cacho and by NAVANTIA’s Chairman, Mr. José Manuel Revuelta, who highlighted the Company’s international profile and the importance which Australia has for NAVANTIA. At the ceremony were also present representatives from the Australian industry and from the Ministry of Defense of Australia.

The office will allow to provide support to the many opportunities in which NAVANTIA Australia is already taking part, and in which it will take part in the near future, such as the SEA1654 program for logistical vessels, the SEA5000 program for frigates, and the SEA1180 program for patrol boats, as well as in their maintenance programs.

With the opening of this office, which is part of the Company’s commitment with Australia, NAVANTIA Australia Pty. Ltd. Is present in Adelaide, Sidney, Melbourne and Canberra.
