  • After the works made, the facilities will be the venue of the new Technological Center for the Security (CETSE), being inaugurated by the acting Minister of the Interior, Mr. Jorge Fernández Díaz

TRAGSA has concluded the works for reforming and adapting the residential and official building belonging to the barracks of the Guardia Civil of San Quintín, located in the town of El Pardo, near Madrid. These facilities will be the venue for the main office of the new Technological Center for the Security (CETSE), which will host both the main office of the National Center for the Protection of Key Infrastructures (CNPIC) and the General Deputy Directorate of Information and Communications Systems for the Security (SGSICS), both of them attached to the Deputy Secretary for Security in the Interior Ministry.

Thanks to these works it has been achieved a new design of the rooms and facilities, adapting the building to its new use requirements and making an optimal use of the space, meeting the regulations in force.

Furthermore, with the goal of modernizing and updating the facilities of the former barracks, use has been made of materials which provide more flexibility, internal division, and adaptability of the existing space, and which provide luminosity, such as stained glass windows and screens.

The works carried out have mostly involved the partial modification of the residential area, for its new use as offices; adapting the lunching area as operational room; the transformation of the former kitchen into a locker room; adapting the accesses to the complex; implementing the security, and installing new communication means (voice/data).
