EFE sets up a news thread on Corporate Social Responsibility

EFE.

The Spanish news agency EFE has set up a service for subscribers focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which will publish news about the activities carried out by institutions and companies for social, environmental and economic development.

The first news agency in Spanish and the fourth in the world, in which around 3,000 professionals deployed in 180 cities and 120 countries work, thus puts together in one “channel” the news which it already diffused through such channels as EFEempresas.com or through the threads in the Society or Economics sections, as well as in the services from the delegations which it has deployed in Spain and in the rest of the world.

Thanks to this new initiative, the number of news which EFE diffuses about this issue will increase, both at the domestic and international levels, and the state-owned news agency will collaborate with companies and institutions so that Society can know about the actions taken for conciliating the corporate and administrative activity with social and economic development, as well as in support of the Environment and of the most disadvantaged social groups.

EFE and Grupo SEPI

The news agency AGENCIA EFE belongs to Grupo SEPI, a corporate holding which includes a total of 16 state-owned companies in which it has direct, majority shareholding participations, with a final workforce of around 73,000 professionals in 2014; the Spanish state-owned television and radio corporation, Corporación Radiotelevisión Española, which is attached to SEPI, and one public foundation. Equally, SEPI has direct minority shareholdings in a further ten companies, and indirect shareholdings in more than one hundred companies.
