Mr. Federico Ramos de Armas, new Member of SEPI’s Board of Directors

- The new Undersecretary of the Presidency replaces in SEPI’s Board Mr. Jaime Pérez Renovales
The Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Presidency, Mr. Federico Ramos de Armas, has been appointed this morning as member of the Board of Directors of the state-owned industrial holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI), thus replacing Mr. Jaime Pérez Renovales, in the meeting held by the highest-level managing body of this state-owned company.
Mr. Ramos de Armas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Presidency since June 19th, is a graduate in Law and Finance and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, and belongs to the Corps of Treasury Counsel.
He has been Treasury Counsel at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food, and at the National Court, and Head of the Treasury Counsel at the state institution of the Spanish National Research Council (CISC). In the regional Government of Madrid he has held the position of Director-General for the Environment and of Deputy Head for the Environment and Territory Planning in the Department for the Environment, Housing and Territory Planning. Since December 2011 he was Deputy Secretary for the Environment at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and the Environment.
SEPI’s Board of Directors is made up by its Chairman, Mr. Ramón Aguirre, the Vice President, Mr. Federico Ferrer, the Secretary-General and of the Board, Ms. María de la Concepción Ordiz, and by a total of 14 Members who represent the Ministry of the Presidency; Finance and Public Administrations; Economy and Competitiveness; Defense; Industry, Energy and Tourism; Employment and Social Security; Public Works; and Agriculture, Food, and the Environment.

Equally, SEPI has direct minority shareholdings in a further ten companies, and indirect shareholdings in more than one hundred companies.
