ENSA joins the United Nations Global Compact

 

ENSA joined the United Nations Global Compact on August 11th, 2014. This event, which is on line with the Company’s corporate valued and culture, entails the reinforcement of the guidelines included in the Corporate Behavior Code.

This initiative has an international nature and promotes the setup of 10 universally shared guidelines in the fields regarding Human Rights, Working Rights, the Environment, and Fight against Corruption, in the companies’ activities and business strategy.

Joining the UN’s initiative, ENSA shows its commitment to support and develop these guidelines within the Company’s sphere of influence, undertaking to follow the Global Compact’s values as part of the Company’s strategy, culture and day-to-day actions.

The United Nations’ Global Compact has been joined by more than 12,000 entities from more than 145 countries. This is the largest voluntary initiative in the world regarding Corporate Social Responsibility.

ENSA and Grupo SEPI

ENSA belongs to Grupo SEPI, a corporate holding which includes a total of 16 state-owned companies in which it has direct, majority shareholding participations, with a final workforce of more than 74,000 professionals in 2013; the Spanish state-owned television and radio corporation, Corporación Radiotelevisión Española, which is attached to SEPI, and one public foundation. Equally, SEPI has direct minority shareholdings in a further nine companies, and indirect shareholdings in more than one hundred companies.
