SEPI's Board of Directors agrees to continue with the purchase and management of the strategic coal storage scheme, with 600,000 more tons

The Board of Directors of the state-owned industrial holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) has agreed, on the meeting held today, to instruct HUNOSA to take the measures required for continuing with the purchase and management of the strategic coal storage, with the domestically extracted coal until January 31st, 2010, for an amount which has been raised by up to 600,000 tons and for a further cost of 56 Million euros, until it reaches the maximum amount of 2,600,000 tons, with a maximum cost of 166 Million euros.

The above mentioned agreement has been adopted as a result of the observance and application of the decision of the Council of Ministers which was held on December 30th, 2009, and which extends the temporary strategic coal storage created by the decision of the Council of Ministers held on July 31st, 2009.
