SEPI communicates to the CNMV that its stake in ENAGAS reaches 5%

The state-owned industrial holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) has communicated to the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV, the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission) that, as of today, it has reached a direct stake in ENAGAS, S.A. amounting to 5%, corresponding to 11,936,713 shares.
The purchase by SEPI of shares in the company ENAGAS, S.A. has been carried out in application of the decisions reached at the meeting of the Council of Ministers which took place on July 20th, 2007 and at the meeting of SEPI´s Board of Directors on July 27th, 2007.
The purchase of the above shares has been made gradually during the last few months in the market through the investment bank UBS Investment Bank.
