THE GRI's A grade is granted to the Grupo Tragsa for its Sustainability Annual Report 2006

The Grupo Tragsa has been awarded the A+ grade for its Sustainability Annual Report 2006, an award which is granted by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the main international standard for preparing the Annual Reports of Social Corporative Responsibility (SCR).

It is the second time that a Spanish state-owned company receives this award, since the Grupo Tragsa itself was the first state-owned holding in the world to win the In Accordance Award from the GRI, for its Sustainability Annual Report 2005.

Equally, the Grupo Tragsa is the first Spanish state-owned company which follows the G3 methodology, which is subjected to an independent external verification. The new assessment model of the GRI represents the third generation of sustainable indexes, and it is made up of three application levels, each of which requires the disclosure of more information than the preceding one: C, B and A, which in turn, add the + symbol for distinguishing those Annual Reports which have been subjected to an external verification audit.

The Sustainability Annual Report 2006 of the Grupo Tragsa corresponds to the highest application level, which characterizes the expert organizations with the most demanding information requirements, and besides, it is subjected to an independent external verification carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

All this process has been reviewed by thr GRI itself, which awarded to the document the highest grade which can be awarded to an SCR's Annual Report: an A+.

The Sustainability Annual Report 2006 includes data which document the most significant progress made by the Grupo Tragsa, which present, in a comprehensive and transparent way, the organization's financial, social and environmental performance.
