SEPI´s Board of Directors authorizes the appointment of Ms. Carmen Caffarel as interim Administrator of the Corporación RTVE

Until the nomination of the Directors
The Board of Directors of the state-owned holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) has authorized, in the meeting which it held today, the appointment of Ms. Carmen Caffarel Serra as the interim Sole Administrator of the Corporación RTVE, which will take place in the General Universal Shareholding Meeting of the Corporación RTVE, which will be held on the same day in which the incorporation deed of that entity is executed, which has been set for Tuesday, September 12th.
The Sole Administrator will be in charge, provisionally, of managing and representing the Corporación, until the appointment as Directors of the persons nominated by Parliament (Cortes Generales) as Members of the Board of Directors, when she will resign her post, as is stipulated in the State-owned Radio and Television Act. Besides, the Sole Administrator will be responsible of all actions and proceedings required for the start of the normal operations of the Corporación, as well as for the incorporation of the companies charged with the provision of the stipulated public service.
The appointment of the Members of the Board of Directors of the new Corporación by the Parliament will take place in the next few months. The new Company must be fully operative at the beginning of 2007.
