07 September 2009 |

The Council of Ministries has authorized to the state-owned holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) to increase the social capital of its affiliated company Equipos Nucleares, S.A. (ENSA), for the amount of 12 Million Euros.

ENSA is a company wholly-owned by SEPI, and its activity consists in the manufacture, supply and assembly of equipment for nuclear power stations, and it has positioned itself as the sole multi-systems manufacturer in the world market. In this market it is expected that the demand will continue to grow, in spite of the current economic crisis, both for replacement equipment and for new projects.

SEPI's Board of Directors, in the meeting which it held on May 29th, 2009, already authorized ENSA to carry out this capital increase, which will be made through the issue of 199,600 shares, each with a nominal value of 60.10 Euros, to be wholly subscribed by SEPI. At the time of the subscription, 25% of the value will be disbursed, while the remaining 75% will be disbursed depending on ENSA's investment requirements. The social capital of the state-owned enterprise after the capital increase will amount to 26.3 Million Euros, corresponding to 437,660 shares.
